Why does this matter? Because safe, realistic, and repeatable access to training aids remains a challenge across EOD, humanitarian mine action, and ordnance education. Original items are difficult to source, expensive to move, and not always appropriate for routine instruction. Our 3D Printing Capability Package helps solve that by producing dimensionally correct inert training aids built around the details that matter: recognizable geometry, key EOD-relevant features, and training states such as fired/unfired and armed/unarmed where appropriate.
This capability is designed to support ordnance recognition, classroom instruction, practical familiarization, scenario-based training, and safer technical reference collections. It reduces logistical costs, increases safety, and supports a non-proliferation-minded approach to training by replacing dependence on live or legacy items with controlled inert replicas.
It also directly complements the EHART system. EHART delivers immersive, headset-based learning and scenario-driven training. The 3D Printing Capability Package adds the physical layer: tactile, visual, hands-on reference items that strengthen recognition and reinforce what trainees see and do in XR. Together, they create a more complete training ecosystem that bridges physical familiarization and immersive simulation.
